Zenphoto is a CMS (Content Management System).   For this site, Zenphoto works very well and greatly reduces the time and effort involved in displaying Photographs and Video.

Zenphoto info:

• You can click on any image that is a link (shows a hand) for a larger view.
• When changing image size (Select image size) you may have to refresh your screen or do a << prev     next>>.
• The selectable image sizes range is from 200-1200 px. The ability to resize is dependent on the quality of the image.
• Use the back button to exit Slide show.
• The comment option in Zenphoto has been disabled due to continuous attacks by those trying to post adverts.

How    Z E N P H O T O    is used on this site.

Zenphoto/albums files are found:

1. on Dreamhost (SERVER) in the Zenphoto installation directory.
2. on our personal computer (LOCAL).

This eliminates the need of extra web page copies and provides a uniform structured source for online and local access and a backup of the album files on Dreamhost.

Zenphoto(the app) only uses the online(Dreamhost) files. Our application(s) online or local can access the Zenphoto file structure independently.

The LOCAL Zenphoto directories/files are (or should be) an exact duplicate of the SERVER Zenphoto/album files on Dreamhost. The LOCAL & SERVER files are named the same, if required the SERVER (Dreamhost) copies may be smaller (load faster).

When adding an album/directory or file, update online or local folders as required.

Zenphoto is quite forgiving, when adding a file you can bypass the Zenphoto Admin console by using FTP to upload to the required directory.
